Newton: The City We Make is a major new exhibition that reimagines how we tell the story of our city, building on the Jackson Homestead’s 75-year tradition of connecting residents with local history. The exhibition explores how generations of Newtonians have shaped—and continue to shape—the community we know today. Through objects, images, personal stories, and interactive experiences, it follows three central threads. These are On This Land, Making Newton Home, and Creating Change, tracing the city’s landscape, its people, and the power of civic action.
Please note that the museum’s second floor is accessible only by stairs; however, printed copies of the upstairs exhibits will be available for those who are unable to use the stairs.
