Join Newton at Home in celebrating the launch of Women of Courage and Conviction: The Untold Stories of Five Extraordinary Newton at Home Members, written by Dorothy Anger. The event will be held on Monday, October 7, at 5:30 PM at the Scandinavian Living Center.
In this inspiring new book, Dorothy brings to light the remarkable life stories of five Newton at Home members. These women’s experiences span continents and eras: one walked from Newton to Washington, D.C. in a “Walk for Peace”; another grew up in Argentina during the Perón regime; two survived their childhoods as Jews under the Nazi regime; and the fifth became a global leader in women’s reproductive health and health systems management.
Come hear about the journeys of these courageous women, celebrate their resilience and achievements, and honor the power of storytelling to connect us across generations.
This is a panel discussion with the author and four of the five women featured in the book. Copies of the book will be available for purchase at the event.
