The Board of Directors of Newton at Home extends its appreciation to the following groups and individuals who are helping us progress toward our launch:

    • Jeremy Warburg Russo, who was the first person to convene Newton residents to begin discussing the process of creating an aging-in-place organization here, led the planning for what has become Newton at Home, and shepherded the organization through its first year.
    • Audrey Cooper and Carol Ann Shea (Co-chairs) and Nancy Brown (Treasurer) of the Senior Citizen Fund of Newton, who have established a process for NAH to receive tax-deductible donations.
    • Jayne Colino, Director of Newton’s Department of Senior Services, who facilitated the implementation of our online survey last year and has been instrumental in bringing NAH into the rich community of organizations involved in serving Newton’s older residents.
    • Jan Latorre-Stiller, Director of SOAR55, who has been an ongoing source of support and has provided NAH with many active volunteers.
    • Holly Campbell and Batsheva Fenster, who designed and built our original website.
    • Internet Technologies Group of Watertown and Bangkok and its President, Jason Male, designer and builder of the newest version of our website.
    • Marian Knapp, who has provided extensive and important information about factors that help seniors age-in-place in the suburbs and is leading an effort to identify both formal and informal services available to Newton seniors.
    • Judy Willett, Executive Director of Beacon Hill Village, a Newton resident, who has answered countless questions about “how BHV did things” and about the village movement.
    • Marc Fogel and Paula Thompson, for providing the pictures we are using on our website
    • The many other villages that have made available important “how to” information on their websites.
    • Our amazing volunteers who are providing their skills, enthusiasm, energy, and time to help us prepare for NAH’s launch.
