Q: Why should I join NAH if I am in good health?
A: In our conversations with other villages, we find that, in any year, only about five percent of their members access health-related services through their Village. The vast majority of their members are enjoying and benefiting from the wide arrange of social, cultural, and educational programs, the vetted vendor services, and the access to volunteer-provided services. Some see their membership as a valuable way to expand their social networks, interact with interesting people, and strengthen their ties to the community. In addition, some people join, not because they believe that they will use all the services immediately but rather as an “insurance policy” so that the village will be there when the member needs it whenever that might be. These people can take part in the activities that appeal to them now and will have the assurance of help if some unexpected need occurs. As a member of NAH, you can help build an organization that promotes neighbors helping neighbors and strengthens our community to make it a great place for residents of all ages to live.
